Okmalumkoolkat – eThekwini Intro

OKMALUMKOOLKAT launches the 2026 project, “iTheku eThekwini” album, with the track eThekwini Intro. It is the first of eleven parts. The South African musician bookends the album with a distinct opening, drawing the listener into the soundscape that unfurls across the entire production.

The project-first writing approach is apparent in the decision to start the project with the sequencing of eThekwini Intro, which aims for cohesion and flow from the beginning. It’s purposefully track one. It gives the project a structure and makes the listening experience feel more intentional and connected.

The iTheku eThekwini album released in the year 2026 features a total of eleven tracks and this introduction is your doorway. The choice to make a distinct beginning demonstrates the artist’s commitment to the entire album experience, rather than just songs or moments.
