Will Yo Maps Reign Supreme At The 2025 AFRIMA?

Zambian top male singer – Yo Maps is nominated at the 2025 All Africa Awards (AFRIMA) in the category of the best male artist Southern Africa. Yo Maps was recognized for his smash hit song “Mr & Mrs” which surpassed over 8 Million Youtube views in 3 Months.

However, Yo Maps faces stiff competition as he goes head to head with South Africa’s Nasty C and Kabza De Small. The Category also notably includes Jah Prayzah from Zimbabwe, Teddy Makadi and Zeze Kingston both from Malawi.

Will Yo Maps Reign Supreme At The 2025 AFRIMA?, well that’s a tough question to ask as the awards are based purely on public votes. It will take an entire industry to collaborate in support for Yo Maps, voting is expected to commence on September 10, 2025.  Zambia has only 1 AFRIMA award won by Cleo Ice Queen in 2021, she was the first and only artist in Zambia to win this prestigious Award.

There is need for Zambia as a country to unite as one and rarely behind Yo Maps for the seek of this prestigious Award. Yo Maps is the only artist nominated from Zambia, making it easier for every Zambian music lover to place a vote for their own artist. The possibility of Yo Maps winning the 2025 AFRIMA award is solemnly relays on music consumers in Zambia.
