In Zambia, Yo Maps is one of the top Afro-beat stars to ever make it big in the music industry. In the past 6 years, the 29-year old singer has made over 15 hit songs, 22 singles, and 3 albums. He has won over 10 major music awards. In 2023, the singer won 5 awards in one night at the Kwacha Music Awards, a record that has gone down in the history books of the Zambian Music Industry. He has also performed in many sold-out shows across Africa, Europe, and America.

His Life and Career
Yo Maps was born on November 29, 1994, in Kasama, Zambia. He is a singer and songwriter. He worked very hard at the start of his music career. In one of his songs, “Kondwa“, he talks about his struggles and dreams for a better life.
He became very popular in 2018 with a song titled “Finally”, a smash hit that featured music pioneer – Macky 2, who played a huge role in Yo Maps’ career. Since the release of that song, Yo Maps become a household name, getting booked for music shows and live performances.

In 2024 during the Stanbic Music Festival, Yo Maps alongside American singer – Omarion headlined the event which is considered to be the biggest music festival. The duo also collaborated on a massive jam titled “Superman“, a jam that got instant recognition across the globe. Prior to that event, Yo Maps also filled up one of Zambia’s biggest stadiums in 2023.
