Umusepela Crown – Isula Amenso Ft Jae Izzy

Zambian conscious rap technician Umusepela Crown teams up with melodic vocalist and producer Jae Izzy on a thoughtful, hard-hitting hip-hop duet titled “Isula Amenso,

The introspective cut comes at a time when Southern African rap fans and Zee beats purists alike are seeking bar-heavy, message-driven recordings that strike a mix between true street grit and eye-opening social concern. Umusepela Crown steps up with razor-sharp penmanship, teaming up with Jae Izzy to warn listeners against blind trust, concealed betrayal, and the subtle deceptions of the modern world, all in a song titled “Open Your Eyes”, a translation from Bemba that also serves as an urgent appeal.

Underneath the boards, the sound architect creates a gritty mid-tempo hip-hop atmosphere with banging kick drums, crisp snares, and a deep, rolling bassline. Atmospheric keyboard chords and subtle melodic textures loop smoothly beneath the rhythm, keeping a constant bounce but leaving enough headroom throughout the mix for the vocals to hit with absolute clarity.

Umusepela Crown owns the verses with controlled breath control, precise cadences, and direct street delivery, while Jae Izzy elevates the arrangement with his characteristic soulful vocal tone and an evocative, unforgettable hook.

The songwriting is about being awake and self-conscious and seeing through facade and sham. Listen to “Isula Amenso.”
