Umusepela Crown – Change Me Ft Tricia

Zambian conscious rap technician Umusepela Crown teams up with soprano Tricia on a thoughtful, soul-stirring hip-hop collaboration titled “Change Me” off his landmark studio CD Star Wakumwesu.

This contemplative record comes at a time when Southern African hip-hop aficionados and Zee beats purists are in search of honest, message-driven rap cuts that combine emotional narrative with spiritual accountability. With a razor-sharp pen Umusepela Crown joins Tricia on stage to explore personal development, to break self-destructive habits, and to seek spiritual guidance.

The sound architect creates a warm mid-tempo hip-hop soundtrack with banging kickdrums, sharp snares and deep, rolling bassline. Delicate keyboard notes and faint ambient strings loop gently under the groove, keeping continuous bounce, but providing plenty of headroom across the mix.

Umusepela Crown’s verses are introspective and he’s got controlled breath control while Tricia lifts the hook with soothing vocal warmth.
