Reactions Grow Over Trending Gezile Video

The circulation of a sexually explicit video involving social media content creator, Gezile Mwale and another woman only identified as Anisha, has continued to attract public reaction.

In a Facebook post, Reverend Walter Mwambazi, has described the continuous circulation of sexually explicit videos as a Spiritual concern.

”At the pace this nation is being bombarded by the sex videos, we now know it is spiritual,” he said.

The clergy has called on authorities to take firm action on those involved in the production and circulation of explicit content, urging the courts to impose stiff sentences as a deterrent to others.

“May the law take its course and all these “actors” and “producers” get minimum 1 year with hard labor and no parole as an example and lesson to deter this wickedness,” he said.

“It is too much now!”

And a 31-year-old businessman of Nakonde District in Muchinga Province, Alfred Siame, has said that the videos are offensive and have a negative impact on public morals, particularly among people using online platforms in Zambia.

“I am extremely disappointed in Gezile. She was supposed to be a role model for many people her age, but look at her now. She is making obscene videos, and they are now being published,” he said.

“What is that, surely? Chabulanda sana.”

Meanwhile, Police have launched investigations into a case involving the content creator, over the alleged production and circulation of obscene material.
