Ray G – You & Me

Ugandan rapper Ray G has unleashed “You & Me” a huge mid-year single ahead of his Kololo Ceremonial Grounds event in August.
The song is built on smooth danceable African rhythms and combines Swahili and Runyankole lyrics that honor true love, loyalty and the particular link that exists between two individuals. That cross-language approach is very much a Ray G hallmark. He’s always written for more than a single cultural audience, and “You & Me” is a natural extension of that tradition.
There is a dynamic percussion, silky-vocal flow and an uplifting Afro-pop feel to the song. It’s for sing-along moments that will linger long after the initial listen. This is also obviously a tactical timing of this publication. It’s a strong romantic single weeks from a big concert appearance, and it gives fans something new to relate to before they show up in person.”
2026 has been a steady year for Ray G with singles such as “Jubilate” already making rounds this year. But “You & Me” sounds like his most radio-ready record of the year thus far.
