Moco Genius– Niko Single Ft. Alikiba

Veteran sound engineer, recording artist, and Tanzanian hit maker Mocco Genius joins forces with legendary Bongo Flava icon Alikiba for a vibrant and rhythm-heavy new single, Niko Single.

This high-profile East African collab is coming at a time when Bongo Flava fans, Afropop lovers, and partygoers are looking for catchy, danceable anthems that explore modern relationship dynamics with charm, wit, and melodic poise. Mocco Genius has built a reputation on the regional scene for his elite production instincts and emotive vocal storytelling, while Kings Music leader Alikiba remains one of the continent’s most revered vocalists with over two decades of hitmaking pedigree. “Niko Single” is the combination of their individual creative energies in a way that instantly feels like a genuine celebration of independence, self-worth, and taking on the dating world on your own terms.

The title, “Niko Single,” is translated from Swahili to mean “I Am Single.” The songwriting of the song also emphasizes independence, avoiding toxic relationship drama, protecting personal peace, and living life free from emotional baggage. Instead of framing singlehood in terms of heartbreak, both artists sing openly about self-love, enjoying freedom with friends, and not settling for lukewarm love. They use relatable Swahili wordplay and an unforgettable hook to turn everyday romantic musings into a universally empowering party anthem for lovers, dreamers, and unattached hustlers alike.

All of it flows through this cut with ease for a full, deeply rewarding listen. Their conflicting vocal chemistry battles the lush, melody-driven production step by step across the track.
