THE nine Patriotic Front (PF) Members of Parliament whose lawsuit against their president, Miles Sampa, was dismissed have renewed it, asking the court once again to annul his presidency.
Lusaka High Court Judge Conceptor Chinyama recently dismissed the matter in which the legislators were challenging the legality of Mr Sampa’s leadership. Judge Chinyama dismissed the matter on grounds that the plaintiffs never attached a demand letter to their writ of summons and breached High Court orders.
But the judge ruled that nine plaintiffs reserve the chance to recommence their case provided they adhere to the rules of the court. A check at the registry shows that Mporokoso PF law-maker Brian Mundubile and the eight others have recommenced the legal suit as guided.
They are seeking a declaration that Mr Sampa contravened party regulations and electoral guidelines in the manner he was elected president.
