Kabza De Small – Impilo ft Mkeyz

Talented Amapiano king and famous hitmaker Kabza De Small teams up with soulful vocalist Mkeyz for a new deep, slow smoldering tune titled “Impilo”.

This major collaboration comes at a moment when piano enthusiasts are ravenous for music with actual emotional heft. Most young producers are all about the fast-tempo party tracks, but Kabza reminds everyone of the genre’s deeper roots. Mastery of time and passion are flexed on this deep cut, an introspective look at the highs and lows of day-to-day survival.

The producer constructs an extremely lush and incredibly atmospheric soundtrack built on the warm rolling log percussion and silky jazz chords. He slowly builds up a nice solid, patient percussion rhythm, and lays down some light, airy synth pads on top. Still, the beat is quite clean and airy in texture, letting the raw voices be found dead center of the stage.
