Highlife rapper Fanzy Papaya is back with a new single titled “Hada” from his album “Highlife Rockstar”. And this party-ready song is laden with a big dose of local flavor to get a happy tone right from the get-go.
The local music scene is still in its infancy, but the appetite for real indigenous sounds is still keen. Fanzy Papaya knows this hunger well and constantly writes music that respects his roots. So he’s bridging the gap between vintage highlife and modern party sounds with this one particular tune.
The rapid congas and strong guitar chords provide the sound engineer a terrific, vibrant canvas to paint on. He also keeps the club throng moving with a thumping contemporary bass beat. But the lovely ogene flute sound is floating wonderfully above the drumming.
