DJ Jaivane – Izolo ft Tots SA BitterSoul & Wesley Keys & Ciniso

South African Amapiano heavyweight and Simnandi Records boss DJ Jaivane links up with sound architects Tots SA, BitterSoul, and Wesley Keys with vocal talent Ciniso on an expansive, soul-stirring township cut titled “Izolo,” lifted from his studio project Mended Pieces.

This poignant collaborative release comes at a time when electronic dance lovers and Amapiano purists are seeking slow-burning, private school textures that connect authentic dancefloor bounce with deep, reflective storytelling. DJ Jaivane has enjoyed an unassailable position in the Mzansi dance scene for years, respected as a master tastemaker with his patient tempo control, pristine arrangement instincts, and ability to curate authentic township soul. The pounding rhythm programming of Tots SA, the subterranean bass design of BitterSoul, the lush keyboard agility of Wesley Keys, and the expressive vocal delivery of Ciniso create an immediate creative synergy, turning this high-level studio link-up into a complete sanctuary engineered for sunset sessions, solitary headphone listening, and late-night drives.

In colloquial translation from Zulu as “Yesterday” (“Izolo”), the songwriting and vocal interplay are mostly about remembering the past, traversing nostalgic memories, acknowledging lessons learned through hardship, and reaching peace after emotional storms. Through poignant storytelling, relatable phrasing, and soothing call-and-response harmonies that turn personal reflection and longing into something bigger, the collective crafts a universally comforting anthem for dreamers, hustlers, and dancefloor romantics everywhere.

On this release, everything meshes so well to give a full, deeply satisfying listening experience. The lush, bass-heavy production is just as keen to keep pace with Ciniso’s expressive vocal stamina for the full duration.
