Barbra Banda scored her 12th goal of the season and still remains tied atop the Golden Boot race. With the goal, Banda becomes the first player in NWSL history to reach 12 goals in under 16 appearances.
Orlando Pride opened the score line through Barbra Banda in the 37th minute before Temwa Chawinga equalised in the 39th minute, just 2 minutes after banda’s strike. The Pride Ladies were reduced to 10 players after defender Carrie Lawrence was shown a second yellow card in the 42nd minute. Orlando however managed to hold their defence together throughout the match. The Ladies regained the lead in the 63rd minute when skipper – Marta converted a penalty to seal the victory.
