Akwaboah – Odo Ankasa Ft Kwesi Arthur

Ghanaian highlife maestro Akwaboah teams up with the talented Tema rap heavyweight Kwesi Arthur on a romance-charged, melody-rich tune titled “Odo Ankasa.”

This soulful collaborative joint is just suitable for when the modern highlife purists and Afro-fusion lovers are in the mood for a real message-driven love song. For a long time Akwaboah’s expressive voice control and generational penmanship have earned him a revered reputation across the continent. Kwesi Arthur joins the session, blending sweet highlife songwriting with laid-back hip-hop rhythms for a poignant record about real love and commitment.

The sound architect builds a pleasant mid-tempo soundscape based on delicate guitar licks, lovely keyboard progressions, and snappy percussion shakers. The bassline rolls along with a gentle bounce, and on top of it rides a steady drum beat that doesn’t overwhelm the whole arrangement.

Akwaboah’s velvet vocal takes center stage, with Kwesi Arthur adding some contemplative street poise.
