Abidoza – Organic Roots

South African Amapiano heavyweight and veteran producer Abidoza dishes out a rich and textured, slow-burning groove called “Organic Roots” on his studio project, Club Controller.

The sound architect builds a deep, mid-tempo atmosphere that’s underpinned by crisp percussive shakers, knocking kick drums, and subtle rimshots. Warm, resonant chord progressions and atmospheric electric piano keys smoothly slide over a rolling, speaker-rattling log drum bassline, lending undeniable low-end gravity to the cut without clouding the upper frequencies. Meanwhile, the spacious audio engineering leaves plenty of room in every dynamic shift, allowing ambient synth sweeps and hypnotic melodic punctuations to wash cleanly over the listener.

Thanks to Abidoza’s veteran studio control, the arrangement is given space to breathe, and the hypnotic groove evolves organically across the course of its runtime. The incremental layering of live-feeling instrumentation and syncopated rhythmic rolls creates an infectious, head-nodding trance that loosens the mind and locks the body into the pocket of the groove.

Everything here just comes together on this cut to make for a full, wonderfully satisfying listening experience. With warm, bass-driven production, the music remains soothing and addictive throughout.
