Meja Kunta – Segerea

The leading name and energetic artist of Tanzanian Singeli music Meja Kunta is once again stepping into the spotlight with her explosive and fast-paced street hit “Segerea,” the fourth track of her dynamic EP album Chapter One.

This much anticipated release comes at a time when lovers of East African street-hop and Singeli purists were looking for raw, adrenaline-fuelled rhythms based in the authentic street culture of Dar es Salaam. Meja Kunta has carved a niche for himself on the regional music scene with his breathless song speed, catchy choruses and relentless stage presence.

In this track, all the pieces fit together perfectly to offer a full-weight and adrenaline-packed listening experience. The rhythm-driven production emphasizes the artist’s fiery vocal energy step by step, throughout the whole duration, tuned to its peak.

Watch Ota “Segerea” now on streaming services!
