Mocco Genius & Yammi – Hesabu

Tanzanian hitmaker and revered sound engineer Mocco Genius teams up with Bongo Flava songstress Yammi on a loving, soul-stirring love duet titled “Hesabu” from his studio project KANDA EP.

The tender East African collaboration comes at a time when Afro-pop purists and fans of authentic Bongo melodies are seeking out genuine, message-laden romance ballads about emotional security, loyalty, and reciprocated devotion. Mocco Genius has earned an enviable reputation across the regional circuit, thanks to his elite production instincts and poignant vocal storytelling, while Yammi continues to dazzle with her velvety register, coastal Swahili nuances, and expressive penmanship. “Hesabu” blends their different musical interests for an instant creative jolt, turning a studio collab with stakes into an evergreen slow-burn romance of a track based on a love that’s beyond basic measurement.

Behind the boards, the sound architect weaves a warm, mid-tempo bongo flava soundscape with delicate acoustic guitar plucks, mellow keyboard chords, and crisp percussive shakers. A steady Afro-pop drum kick rolls gently over a fluid, rolling bassline that keeps an infectious bounce to the rhythm without disrupting the intimate, romantic atmosphere. Meanwhile, the expansive audio engineering is kept clean so that every subtle vocal run, inflection, and layered backing harmony comes through the mix with crystal clarity.

Mocco Genius takes the early run with his trademark textured register, weathered timing, and easy Swahili phrasing. He glides over the patient tempo with ease, putting real warmth into his lines and setting a tender, comforting tone from the opening drop. Yammi enters the arrangement to add momentum across all cylinders, with her signature sweet coastal runs, emotional pitch control, and a hook that pulls listeners straight into the pocket of the groove.

This soulful love song is definitely one you should be throwing straight onto your late-night reflection, romantic unwind, and weekend drive time playlists today! Available now on all digital music streaming platforms, “Hesabu” listens now!
