5-Year-Old Boy Reportedly Suffers Severe Complication After Circumcision as Family Appeals for Medical Help
A Lusaka family is appealing for urgent medical intervention after a routine circumcision reportedly resulted in severe complications that left a five-year-old boy without his genital organ.
The incident has left the child’s mother searching for answers and desperate to find a hospital or specialist capable of helping her son.
According to information shared by IdaCH TV Zambia, the mother said the circumcision procedure went terribly wrong, leaving her son with life changing injuries.
“Circumcision has left my son without his genital organ. Please, where can I seek Medical Help for this case? Which hospital in Zambia can help my son? I am so worried,” she said.
The mother also revealed that the tragedy has affected her family, claiming that her husband abandoned the home after learning that their son had suffered the complications following the circumcision.
She expressed concern about her son’s future, saying she fears how the incident will affect his life as he grows older.
“I am worried about telling my son when he grows up. Who will marry him when he is older without it? Please help me,” she said.
The family is now appealing to medical specialists, health authorities and well-wishers for assistance in accessing the specialised treatment the child may require.
The circumstances surrounding the procedure, including where it was carried out and whether any investigations have been launched, have not yet been confirmed.
